Fair Trade is a trading alternative promoted by several NGOs, UN and social and political movements from different countries that encourage and assist the voluntary and fair trade relations between producers and consumers.

This system is oriented towards comprehensive development with economic sustainability, social and environmental, but always with due respect for the idiosyncrasies of the people, their culture, traditions and basic human rights.

Some of the principles:

  • Ensure a fair wage for workers
  • Say no to the exploitation of children
  • Strengthen equality between men and women
  • Give value to quality and to organic production through the commercialization of 100% natural products
  • Protect ethnic minorities
  • Improve the safety and hygiene conditions in the workplace
